V1 is my first iteration on the project
V2 got a better air tube and dimensions
V3 is a test for the adjustement guide
V4 is the later version

Please note that depending on your nozzle height the fanduct height could be not perfectly adjusted. If so feel free to copy and modify the onshape project to your needs.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!

Hovercraft Rudder upgrade #3DPrinting #3DThursday

Aerodeck shared this project on Thingiverse!

I built the RC Hovercraft from jscaylor. It’s really fun to drive the hovercraft. But I always had problems steering right. There, the rudder effect was not enough to be able to drive around the corner properly. With the new rudder blade in the middle now both ways are the same and the hovercraft drives now clean around the bend.

Only one part is needed at a time. The rudder is modular and therefore suitable for both directions. ( cw or ccw )

I just tried to film that, but both are not really working at the same time. But I think you can still see the maneuverability well.

CTR Kart – Crash Bandicoot #Gaming #CrashTeamRacing #3DThursday #3DPrinting

Shared by Curious_Boi on Thingiverse:

I designed this kart with 3D printing in mind, so everything fits snuggly together without the need for screws except for the base plate and the front/rear panels, even the wheels are just clipped, and turn easily after installing. I installed the screws for extra strength, but i think should work also if you just glue it ?

The build process ist pretty self explanatory, the only thing that is important is that after screwing or glueing both panels on the Base Plate you need to install the tubing, you cant install the tubes after mounting the wheels and pedals on the model!
I used a bit of super glue to fix most of the part together and used a drop of olive oil for the wheels and the steering wheel.

An Infinity Clock inspired by this thing here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2812721

I redesigned the ring and designed the whole enclosure from scratch to be 3D printable.
I tweaked the original code a little for orientation and added animation. (I’m new to design and coding so I am sure everything can be modified a little, but its a great base to work with!)

My entry for the Make-A-Thon design challenge. The chest holds 36 12mm 6-sided dice (the Warhammer standard) or a full set of D&D dice. The key will lock the lid in place and the hinge allows the lid to open and shut. Enjoy!

DIY Gimbal for the Raspberry Pi Camera #piday #raspberrypi @Raspberry_Pi

Rpigimbal

Very cool gimbal device for stabilizing your Pi camera. Via Hackaday:

If one wants a stabilized video feed from a drone, a gimbal setup is the way to go. However, the cheaper offerings are all rather similar, suited to a certain size and type of drone. [Jean] was building a smaller craft, so set out to create his own design specifically fit for purpose.

The build begins in the CAD suite, with a series of 3D printed parts designed to link together with a pair of brushless motors to make a 2-axis set up. After printing, the gimbal arms are bolted together with the motors and the camera and IMU are installed, with everything being wired up to a GLB MiniSTorM32 brushless gimbal controller. These controllers make the process of building a gimbal easy, meaning that individual makers don’t have to go to the trouble of designing motor controller circuitry again and again.

MyPi Portable Arcade #3DPrinting #3DThursday

2019 07 28T14 40 36 797Z MyPiHeld2

Jess Lewis shared this project on YouMagine

This is a case for a portable arcade based on the Raspberry Pi 3 named the MyPi. The MyPi was designed to use a 5 inch LCD to make viewing more comfortable and was designed with stereo sound to enjoy classic arcade music such as the music used in the Outrun arcade game.

Enjoy the ability to play retrogames on a large LCD anywhere, or use the composite output of the Raspberry Pi and play retrogames on an old CRT TV (LCD TVs work too) for that trip back in time to the 1980s or 1990s or even from the 1970’s.

Have you ever wondered what games were like on the Sinclair computers? Commodore computers? Maybe you’d prefer to experience those SNES games or Sega Genesis games again? There are more than 50 different emulators available for RetroPie – experience them all at your fingertips with the MyPi.

The 3d printable MyPi case and parts will need an electronics kit to complete the MyPi build.
