ESP32 water meter adapter #3DPrinting #Timelapse

Stibbons shares:

I added fusion360 files in for easy modification. Most likely you will need it for the adapter as every meter seems to be slightly differen.

The ESP32-CAM 3d file I used for the construction was found on Grabcad. Thanks to Jan Jazek for providing it! Link: https://grabcad.com/library/esp32-cam-1

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!

Palaeodictyoptera #3DThursday #3DPrinting

Palaeodictyoptera by MartinKJHB Thingiverse

Freak out your friends or add some flair to your garden. I love that this print comes with a paleontology lesson! From MartinKJHB on Thingiverse:

The Paleodictyoptera are an extinct order of large flying insects that lived during the Carboniferous and Permian periods. This is just a generic impression rather than any particular species. Amazingly, some fossils show preserved wing patterns. I modelled the coloration on the extant owlflies, which show similar patterns but aren’t closely related. I also added tracheal gills similar to those of mayfly nymphs, even though that’s pretty speculative.

Egg Speaker Enclosure #3DThursday #3DPrinting

Egg Speaker Enclosure by lithochasm Thingiverse

Print your very own stylish speakers. Some people might think they came from the future the 70’s promised. From lithchasm on Thingiverse:

2 Way Egg Speaker Design

Notes:
Printed face down. The binding posts on the back should be raised a bit higher – I had to put rubber feet on the bottoms of these so that the posts would not tip the speakers forward.

Drill head holder #3DPrinting #3DThursday

Drill head holder by xpari Thingiverse

shared this project on Thingiverse!

I use a chuck with small diameter drills for sensitive drawing, deburring and countersinking of holes.

It is printed from PETG, the hexagon of the chuck must be bumped into the handle or tapped slightly.

And as is my custom, a project file for Fusion360 is attached.

Gameboy macro XL 3d printed faceplate #3DThursday #3DPrinting

facelesstech shares:

I’ve been making a few Gameboy Marco and I have seen a few different 3d printed face plates for the DS Lite but non for the DS Phat. Before the Original DS was released they were showing off a different design then what they ended up releasing, Ive always thought that the original design was so much better. This is what I based my design on. This is probability the most complex thing I have ever designed. Join me below to see how I pulled it off.
