Mohit Bhoite wanted a color light bar for macro photography. He turned to a RGBW strip of NeoPixel LEDs controlled by a tiny Adafruit Trinket M0 microcontroller. The light values are adjusted using four potentiometers. The project is housed in a custom 3D printed case.
Here is a look inside. The main controller is an @adafruit Trinket M0 (basically a neat and tiny version of an Arduino). It’s controlling an 8 RGBW Neopixel bar. The four potentiometers provide the control for individual colors. All of this is powered by a rechargeable 3.7V LiPo.
The lid design was inspired by Islamic patterns widely seen in traditional architecture.

Wonderful project! See his Twitter feed and Instagram for additional details.
